Olly is our Group Leader at Urban Saints Guildford
I first joined USG aged 16 and have loved it ever since. It made the Christian faith feel real and relevant, and the boys-only space created room for honest conversations about the struggles lads face. I particularly value the uniqueness of the group - the boisterous atmosphere, deep friendships across ages and leaders who’ve committed decades volunteering with the group.
I’m just stepping up to volunteer as the group leader. This is an exciting role which involves equipping, empowering and leading a diverse group of around 40 volunteer leaders, aged 15 - 75 and setting the vision and strategy going forwards. My focus will be on growing the group to reach more lads and to develop them into well formed young men, who are passionate about transforming this broken world for Jesus.
