Welcome to USG Students!

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” - 1 Corinthians 12:27

What is USG students all about?

As students at USG we may not be around in Guildford every Friday but this does not mean we cannot be a part of the wider Team.

Whilst we are away studying hard (!), taking on an apprenticeship or enjoying a Gap Year we are praying for our lads and other Teammates (Leaders) as they carry on the ministry back home. AND... When we are back home visiting or staying for longer in the holidays we bring new energy into the group, getting involved and plugging into the work that USG does.

So, USG Students is a deliberate group which has been set in place to:

  • Encourage Student Leaders, especially when they are ‘away’ (defined as away from USG in any form e.g., studies/work/travels).

  • Enable them to serve USG well when they are back (we’d encourage this to look like getting involved with their allocated section).

What do Students do when they are back in Guildford?

They get involved! Our students are our key relief team for our weekly Leaders who may appreciate a week off. This means getting down to the USG Hall on a Friday Night, trying and make their Section’s Residential Trip and prioritise serving on Camps.

On the right are all our students who come back and support the USG team (all who have gone through USG themselves!).

When Do USG students hang out?

USG Students facilitate events throughout the year. These are a mix of in-person and online so that everyone has the opportunity to be involved, regardless of location or varying term dates.
